What am I doing here?

Since 1983, I've been working on a story that has slowly evolved into The Defender's Burden. I've finally gotten fed up with it sitting on my hard drive and I know the only way that I'll get a move on is to publish it already.

Like novels of old, I will be releasing this novel in serial format, roughly one chapter per month. I'll try my best to keep it nail-biting interesting; but in order for you to know for sure, you'll just have to read, won't you?
